Tips On Buying Your Child Tea Set Toys

There are many different kinds of tea set toys.  You can buy tea sets made from plastic for younger children or ones made from porcelain for older children.

When looking for items of this nature for younger children, you will notice that a number of them have Disney characters, Barbie, or some other well known cartoon character.  If younger children have a particular character that they like then you may want to buy them a toy tea set with this character; however, you should keep in mind that children grow fast and as they grow, their tastes change as well.  The cartoon character that is their favorite today may not be their favorite in a month's time; in fact, they may want nothing more to do with it within a short period of time.  All that to say, do not feel bound to choose a tea set with cartoon characters.

You can find a number of very nicely done Fisher Price tea sets; while this brand name may be a bit more expensive than some other brand names, Fisher Price does make good quality toys that last for a long time. The price for a tea set ranges between $13 and $30 depending on the exact set you choose.  Some sets are smaller while others are larger.  What you choose would depend on how many small children you have and if they are going to play with the set alone or with friends.  The more children who will use the tea set, the larger you may want it to be so that children do not fight over particular items.

Take your child's age into consideration when choosing the set as well.  Cute sets with smiley faces are great for preschool aged children but five or six year olds may find such a set beneath them.  For older children, you may want to consider a porcelain tea set if you feel they are careful enough to handle one.  There are quite a few on the market and while they cost more than a plastic one they should last for some time with proper care.

You can even find porcelain tea set toys that come plain in white with a set of paints and a paintbrush; this will provide your child with the opportunity to paint their tea set in the exact color and design they want it to be.  A set of this nature can actually be cheaper than an already painted porcelain tea set.
