Tips On Choosing A Little Tikes Kitchen Set

There are quite a few different kinds of Little Tikes Kitchen sets.  Some are simpler and others have more features.  The cost of a Little Tikes kitchen set depends on where you buy it, whether it is bought new or used, and what kind of set it is.

A kitchen playset can be a lot of fun for your young child or children.  It encourages creativity and stimulates the imagination.  It can provide hours of interactive play as your child prepares all kinds of special dishes or even just their favorite desserts. 

If your child likes outdoors play, then you may want to consider a Makin' Mud Pies outdoor kitchen set.  This particular set, unlike most other kitchen sets, is meant to be set up outdoors.  You would naturally want to dress your kids in old clothes as they are sure to not only have a lot of fun with this set but also make quite a mess.  You can purchase this particular set for around $40 at your local Toys R Us store.  Note that the manufacturer recommends it for two years on up.

If you have only one young child and he or she does not have a lot of friends over, then you may want to consider one of the smaller kitchen play sets.  You can buy one quite easily for under $100; a few smaller models are the Get Out N' Grill Barbecue Set and the Country Kitchen Set.

Larger sets include the Cookin Sound Gourmet Kitchen, the Sizzle and Serve Kitchen, the Cook 'N Learn Interactive Kitchen "In-Stock", and the Double Up Kitchen & Laundry Centre.  These sets cost at least $100.

If you have a limited budget then you may want to consider buying one of these play sets used instead of new.  Ebay offers a number of these sets at good prices; some are not all that used and you can get a set that is in near new condition at a very good price.  You may also want to check your local Craigslist or hometown newspaper classifieds to find individual sellers who are offering kitchen play sets for sale.

When buying a Little Tikes Kitchen set used, make sure to check it carefully for any signs of serious damage.  Remember that you can not return or exchange the item once you buy it so be sure the item is still in good condition.  For this reason, it is often better to buy the item locally instead of from eBay; that way you can look the item over in person and make sure it is what you want and in good condition.
