Princess Tea Set

Treat Your Young Daughter To A Princess Tea Set For Hours Of Fun

Any little girl would be thrilled to receive her own princess tea set as a gift.  Tea sets can provide hours of playing fun for children, especially those aged between three and five.  They not only teach children basic skills such as pouring and balancing, but they can also be used to teach basic etiquette skills at an early age. Typically, a tea set will consist of several cups and saucers, plates, a teapot with a lid, a sugar bowl, a creamer or cream pitcher and teaspoons.

The Disney princess sets are an all-time favorite. These are often decorated with favorite Disney Princess characters and some come complete with a small sized tiara so your little girl can dress up like a true princess. Most commonly princess tea sets are made from plastic although you can also find porcelain tea sets.  If your child is young, you may want to supervise her play if she has a porcelain tea set, as they do tend to break if they are accidentally dropped (or deliberately thrown) on the floor.

When shopping for a tea set for your little princess, try to find one that comes with its own carry case or packaging that can be used for storing the set when not in use.  Small pieces, such as those in a princess tea set, can easily become lost amongst other toys if they are simply thrown into a toy bin with all of the other toys. For the most enjoyment, encourage your daughter to arrange a tea party and invite some friends over. Friends can be members of the family, children her own age, or even some of her favorite dolls and stuffed animals. It is amazing how long a child will play with a tea set especially if she has ‘real’ tea to serve and some tiny cookies to set on the plates.

A princess tea set usually is not that costly, with prices ranging anywhere from $15 to $30, and yet it will provide hours of make-believe fun and games. Generally, the plastic tea sets are cheaper than the porcelain sets and they are much hardier, so they can stand more wear and tear as well as the occasional drop on the floor.  Be sure to also teach your little one how to clean up after her tea party has finished, a task that she will probably attack with as much energy as she enjoyed setting up for her tea party.
